News and Events
We were able to book 49 of the 90 days in the third quarter. Twenty-seven of those trips were in the month of July. We had an incredible Halibut bite this summer, and Shark fishing like none other.
The other big thing that happened back in July, was our beloved VIP Bay Stealth boat left us. Timing wasn't great, but everything happens for a reason, and when it is meant to be. Right? Well as it turns out, it was great timing. Our buddy Conway Bowman (Bowman Bluewater Outfitters and Guides) was looking to move one of his Triton 240LTS boats out of its current slip to put his newer one there. He and I worked out a deal, and now your beloved Captain James is running charters on San Diego Bay; Mission Bay, San Diego Coastal, and yes even the lakes of San Diego, on this fine fishing machine. Please see the picture below.
Also, I am still on Rod and Reel Radio doing a weekly inshore fish report. You can hear Captain James Nelson during the one hour broadcast for AM1050 Inland Empire on Fridays from 11-Noon, and/or you can hear the fish report during the two hour broadcast for AM540 on Sundays from 5-7PM. Another great way to hear Rod and Reel Radio is via their web-casts. Click this Link: http://tunein.com/radio/Rod--Reel-Radio-p61163/

Tournament Stuff
Other great things that happened in the third quarter include placing second in a large mouth bass tournament at El Capitan reservoir. And then two days later, my saltwater bass team tournament partner (Robert Schneider) and I placed third in an SWBA tournament. We had more than 20 pounds of Sand Bass.
