News and Events
We were able to book 39 of the 90 days in the second quarter. this allowed the Nelson family a much needed vacation. During the spring break, all six Nelsons (along with the in-laws) retreated to the Parker Strip along the Colorado River. There James got to actually do some fishing, and played with the kids around the pool, and the river beaches. Imagine that... relaxation. It was a fruitful week that led to many fish inspired articles. Some of which have already appeared in Bass Angler Magazine.
James also got back into doing some club level tournament fishing with the Old Pros Bass Club. Although, he missed two tournaments due to customers demanding the same day. "It is nice to return to my roots, though," says James. "It's hard to fish for myself sometimes, because I know there is so much work that needs to be done. Plus, I normally only fish when I am scouting out an area (fishery, or species) that my next guest wants to fish."
Also, during the last part of the second quarter, James joined the Rod and Reel Radio team to do a weekly inshore fish report. You can hear Captain James Nelson during the one hour broadcast for AM1050 Inland Empire on Fridays from 11-Noon, and/or you can hear the fish report during the two hour broadcast for AM540 on Sundays from 5-7PM. Another great way to hear Rod and Reel Radio is via their web-casts. Click this Link: http://tunein.com/radio/Rod--Reel-Radio-p61163/
